Worship
Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord ~ Psalm 95:6

Sunday Worship at Community Christian Church is a meaningful religious experience in a casual atmosphere, designed to help worshippers feel comfortable seeking their relationship with God. The sermons are engaging and practical, Biblically based, yet relevant to daily life. Communion is offered each week to everyone who attends the service, both CCC members and guests. Weekly children's sermons offer the youngest people an opportunity to enjoy relevant lessons on God's word in the sanctuary - and allow adults to learn from the children!

Join Us For Worship

We offer regular worship services each Sunday at 8 am and 10 am.

The 8 am Worship Service is informal and held in Lanier Hall - the chapel attached to the office building.

The 10 am Worship Service features a children's sermon followed by Sunday School while the adults continue with the rest of the traditional service. It is held in the Sanctuary.

Our Denomination - Disciples of Christ
CCC is one of about 3,700 congregations in the U.S. and Canada. We believe that God is calling us to be a faithful, growing church that demonstrates true community, deep Christian spirituality and a passion for justice.

Like most Christians, Disciples Affirm
:
♦ Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God
♦ All persons are God’s children

Beliefs and practices usually associated with Disciples include:

Open Communion
The Lord’s Supper is celebrated in weekly worship. It is open to all who believe in Jesus Christ.

Freedom of Belief
Disciples are called together around one essential of faith: belief in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Persons are free to follow their consciences guided by the Bible, the Holy Spirit, study and prayer, and are expected to extend that freedom to others.

Baptism by Immersion
In baptism the old self-centered life is set aside, and a new life of trust in God begins. Although Disciples practice baptism by immersion, other baptism traditions are honored.

Belief in the Oneness of the Church
All Christians are called to be one in Christ and to seek opportunities for common witness and service.

The Ministry of Believers
Both ministers and lay persons lead in worship, service and spiritual growth.
